Fugu Ultra is a general-purpose language model from Sakana with a 1M-token context window.

Strengths

The large context window allows it to process and reason over extended documents, codebases, and conversation histories in a single request.

Best for

Tasks requiring analysis or synthesis of large volumes of text, such as document summarization, code review across multiple files, or maintaining long-running conversations.

Limitations

Fugu Ultra has been superseded by Fugu Ultra v2 and Fugu Max, which use multi-agent orchestration; this model uses a single monolithic architecture.
