Aion-1.0-Mini

Aion-1.0-Mini is a smaller parameter variant of AionLabs' Aion-1.0 with a 131k-token context window, released in early 2025.

Strengths

Runs with lower computational overhead than Aion-1.0 while maintaining the same context window capacity.

Best for

Applications where inference speed or compute efficiency matters more than the performance of the full-scale Aion-1.0, particularly those that need to process long documents or conversations within the 131k-token limit.

Limitations

Smaller parameter count means reduced reasoning and generation quality compared to Aion-1.0; has been superseded by the multi-model Aion-3.0 and Aion-3.5 architectures released later in 2026.
